Consent, Contract, Exploitation, (three channel video installation).  The Photographers' Gallery

I am interested in the mechanics of artistic process, exploring the dynamics of collaboration and the ethical role of the artist. I examine the tension between what motivates me as an artist, and how this can both support and conflict with the needs of participants. My work explores some of the ambiguities, the difficulties and also the opportunities that can arise, including the blurred boundaries between exploitation and consent.

Alongside my art practice I provide Experiential Phototherapy workshops at three London based rehab clinics. I also facilitate a monthly 1-Day Experiential Phototherapy workshop. These workshops are an opportunity to collaborate and co-create, drawing upon the unity of group work, allowing for emotional vulnerability and accessing creative energy. I like to devise experiences that challenge participants to explore their beliefs and behaviours. The workshops have helped participants overcome personal limitations and explore new possibilities in their work.

My work has appeared on the BBC, Channel4 and Dazed Digital and been commissioned by Bombay Sapphire.  I was shortlisted for The Artist’s Cut a film industry led programme in partnership with BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Arts. My work has also been included in numerous group shows and exhibited at The Photographers’ Gallery and the Florence Trust.
