Consent, Contract, Exploitation, (three channel video installation).  The Photographers' Gallery

I am interested in the mechanics of artistic process, exploring the dynamics of collaboration and the ethical role of the artist. I examine the tension between what motivates me as an artist, and how this can both support and conflict with the needs of participants. My work explores some of the ambiguities, the difficulties and also the opportunities that can arise, including the blurred boundaries between exploitation and consent.

Alongside my art practice, I have facilitated over 400 phototherapy workshops working with an intergration of art therapy, somatic trauma recovery and psychotherapy. The workshops offer a playful group experience, that allows participants to develop self-expression while exploring new creative possibilities.

My work has appeared on the BBC, Channel 4 and Dazed Digital and been commissioned by Bombay Sapphire. I was shortlisted for The Artist’s Cut a film industry led programme in partnership with BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Arts. My work has also been included in numerous group shows and exhibited at The Photographers’ Gallery and the Florence Trust.
