I grew up in Merseyside and studied at Liverpool College of Art. My first job was in Television on one of the most notorious TV shows of all time, The Word. Prior to becoming a visual artist I worked in television and commercial contexts as a director for nineteen years. Exploring and digesting my previous career in television I used my experience in documentary film making as research for my art practice.
